We are Hunter Locksmiths, a mobile auto locksmith covering Barking and Dagenham, from the town centre and Barking Riverside across to Chadwell Heath and the yards along the A13.
Vehicles are the whole job here rather than a sideline to house locks. Van keys, lost car keys, ignition faults and vehicles that will not open are what we are equipped for, seven days a week and at any hour.
Barking Is Van Country
More than anywhere else on our patch, the vehicles here are working vehicles. The estates off the A13, the units around Dagenham Dock and the yards at Rippleside are full of trades who cannot start the day without getting into the van. A van off the road is not an inconvenience, it is a day of lost work and sometimes a cancelled job on top.
That is why we carry van key blanks and programming kit as standard rather than ordering parts in and coming back tomorrow. It is also why van security is a real part of what we do here: deadlocks, slam locks and extra protection for anyone leaving tools in the vehicle overnight. Around Barking that is worth doing before something happens rather than after.
The residential side is busy too. Barking town centre, Gascoigne and the streets off Longbridge Road are dense and tightly parked, so lockouts and keys shut in boots come up constantly. Dagenham Heathway and Becontree give us the older cars, and with older cars it is usually the ignition barrel rather than the key.
Barking sits inside our wider East London coverage, and we work across Essex as well, so Romford and the area beyond are on the same run.
