We are Hunter Locksmiths, a mobile auto locksmith covering Stratford, the Olympic Park and the streets around them. We come to the car rather than the car coming to us.
Cars and vans are the main job rather than a sideline. Lost car keys, vehicles that will not open, immobiliser faults and keys that will not turn are what our vans carry the kit for, seven days a week and at any hour.
Why Stratford Is Mostly Car Park Work
Westfield Stratford City has thousands of spaces and they turn over all day. That alone accounts for most of what we do here. Keys get lost between the shops and the car, left in a changing room, or dropped somewhere across a site the size of a small town. When you ring, the level and the bay number matter more than the postcode.
Event days add their own pattern. When the London Stadium or the Copper Box is on, the roads around the park change, some close entirely, and a car that was easy to reach at two in the afternoon is a different proposition at eleven at night. We would rather tell you that on the phone than discover it halfway there.
Then there are the newer cars. A lot of what is parked around Stratford is recent, which means keyless entry, proximity keys and systems that fail in their own particular way. The car may refuse to unlock, say the key is not detected, or turn over without starting. That is usually an immobiliser or programming fault rather than a dead battery, and it needs diagnosing properly before anything is replaced.
Stratford sits inside our wider East London coverage, so Bow, West Ham, Forest Gate and Maryland are all on the same run.
