We are Hunter Locksmiths, an auto locksmith covering Essex from Buckhurst Hill, Loughton and Chigwell out through Waltham Abbey, Epping and Nazeing to Harlow, and east through Romford to Brentwood. The M25, the M11, the A12 and the A121 link all of it together, which is how we get across it quickly.
Car and van keys are our main job rather than a sideline. Lost keys, keys locked in, ignition faults and immobiliser problems are what our vans carry the kit for, at any hour and every day of the year.
Walks, Commutes and Car Parks
Epping Forest is the obvious one. Walkers and dog walkers leave the car at High Beach or one of the smaller forest car parks, and a key dropped on a muddy trail is not coming back. You do not need to find it. We can cut and program replacement car keys right there in the car park, without the original.
The Central line matters too. Epping sits at the end of the line and Chigwell is on it, so both station car parks fill with commuters whose cars sit all day. A fob that dies while you are in the City, or a key that will not turn when you get back, is exactly the kind of thing we sort at the car.
If you are locked out altogether, with the keys on the passenger seat or snapped off in the door, our vehicle lockout service gets you back in without damaging the car.
Harlow and the Van Trades
Harlow has a lot of trades working out of vans, and the Templefields and Pinnacles industrial areas are full of them. A van that will not open first thing is a day of work lost. Alongside cutting and programming van keys, we fit deadlocks, slam locks and proper van security for anyone who leaves tools in the vehicle overnight.
If you are right on the London side in Chigwell, our East London coverage starts just over the border. And west of Harlow, we work right across Hertfordshire too.
